Where are you in your transitions today? Nothing stays the same so you are always in transition in one way or another. How well are you navigating those changes?

One of my readers sent some quotes to me last month. One was by Oprah Winfrey. She said, “Become the change you want to see - those are words I live by.”

As she completes her last day of twenty five years on “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” she is demonstrating a huge transition. She is not one to let her life blow with the wind and just happen. Instead, she knew it was time to change, to grow, to take a risk, take a chance at something bigger and better in her mind.

Winfrey has a way of stepping outside herself and knowing when the direction she is going isn’t resonating with her purpose in life anymore. If you look back over her career as shown in the many shows about her life this last year, you’ll hear her say when she knew a transition was due.

Her exit is known around the world as she has found a way to touch other peoples’ lives in a profound way. Her goal was “to help people see thing in a different way and build better lives” for themselves. She knew what her purpose was and it has been fulfilled beautifully!

As Winfrey redefined daytime talk shows, she inspired, motivated, sold untold products and projected people to fame. In the process she redefined herself and her giant purpose. As she makes the transition into her new OWN network, she proves that she’s not afraid of change.

What changes and transitions are you ready for in your career or personal life? What’s holding you back? Fear of the unknown?

Become the change you want to see, as Winfrey says and start feeling joyful that it is happening. You will be surprised at the open doors, people and books you will attract. You’ll be a magnet to draw in what you need to be working on now.

Nothing stands still, everything is always in a state of flux, so choose the direction you want to go. Commit to it and you’ll find a way to make it happen. Life is a series of transitions! You get older, wiser and transformed into the new you every day. Make it what you want it to be!

Be joyful and happy now as though it has already happened! Then watch how inspiring, motivating and influential you too have become to others!

Push fear aside and enjoy the transitions!
